Atlantic Classical Orchestra violinist Valentin Mansurov has been actively performing in chamber, orchestral and solo concerts on the local and international levels. The first prize winner in the 14th National String Competition held among the most prestigious musical institutions in the former U.S.S.R, Valentin has had the honor to perform for George and Barbara Bush and Jean Chretien (Canadian prime minister). Mr. Mansurov’s education is a cultural roadmap. He began his violin studies as a seven year old at Uspenskiy’s School for Musically Gifted Children in Uzbekistan. Upon graduation, he then was invited to study at Bilkent University in Turkey where he completed two years towards a Baccalaureate Degree in Music and the Performing Arts before transferring to the National Conservatory for Music in Toulouse, France, for the Program of Superior Studies for violin. Mr. Mansurov then earned a certificate of completion in the violin teacher’s training program at Canada’s Victoria Conservatory of Music. In 2002 Mr. Valentin attended Mount Royal College, Canada on full scholarship in the Music Diploma Program. In 2006 he enrolled in Masters of Music program at Lynn Conservatory in the violin studio of world renowned violinist Elmar Oliveira. He is currently working towards his Professional Performance Certificate program at Lynn Conservatory.
