Chamber Concerts

Award-winning cellist Ashley Garritson has built a distinguished international career as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer. She currently serves as Principal Cello of the Miami City Ballet and the Atlantic Classical Orchestra and is a founding member of Miami’s Nu Deco Ensemble. Ashley has performed with the Chicago Symphony and Boston Symphony, collaborated with members of the Juilliard String Quartet and other renowned ensembles, and shared the stage with artists including Yo-Yo Ma, Mstislav Rostropovich, Janos Starker, Lynn Harrell, and Pierre Boulez. Her solo appearances include performances with the Atlantic Classical Orchestra, Miami Symphony, Indiana University Wind Ensemble, and the University of Miami’s Frost Wind Ensemble, where she premiered Aaron Travers’ Cello Concerto, commissioned especially for her. A winner of several national and international competitions, Ashley has appeared at the Tanglewood, Kneisel Hall, and Yellow Barn festivals, and holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Cello Performance from the University of Miami. Beyond the concert stage, she is also a life coach and passionate lover of horses, reading, cooking, and the healing and transformative power of music.
