The strings of the ACO are featured in a virtuoso program of works by Tchaikovsky, Vivaldi and Walker. Vivaldi’s evergreen Four Seasons, played by ACO’s beloved concertmaster Leonid Sigal is framed by Tchaikovsky’s heartfelt tribute to Florence – imbued with his unparalleled melodic writing, gorgeous control of harmony, and rich textures – and Walker’s ravishing Lyric for strings.
