From the intimate dialogue of Copland’s Quiet City to the more public, more formal interplay of Mozart’s Sinfonia concertante, the first half of this program celebrates connection and conversation. In the second half, Beethoven ignites those shared energies in his Seventh Symphony, a work of white-hot exuberance, rhythmic drive, and unstoppable momentum.

← All Masterworks ConcertsDr. Sara Luciani (née Diehl) is an international performer and active freelance oboist. Currently, Sara plays second oboe and English horn with the Atlantic Classical Orchestra, as well as other esteemed South Florida music groups. Other ensembles she has performed with include the Florida Grand Opera, Palm Beach Symphony, Miami City Ballet, Austin Symphony, San Angelo Symphony, Louisiana Philharmonic, and Treasure Coast Opera. A versatile player, she has been a soloist with the Natchitoches-Northwestern Symphony Orchestra, Vero Beach Chamber Orchestra, and with the Polish jazz band, “Young at Hearts.” She has also performed with Frank Sinatra Jr., Broadway stars Idina Menzel and Lea Salonga, tenor Andrea Bocelli, producer David Foster, and jazz greats Ken Peplowski and John Pizzarelli, to name a few.
A former elementary school music teacher, Dr. Luciani has also taught at Miami Dade College in Florida. She has been a guest clinician at music camps and workshops worldwide, including lecturing at the International Jazz Workshop in Puławy, Poland about performance-related injuries in musicians.
Originally from Vero Beach, Florida, Dr. Luciani received her Bachelor of Music degree from Northwestern State University in Louisiana, her Master of Music degree from the University of Texas, and her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Miami. She currently resides in Miami, Florida with her husband, jazz trombonist, Dante Luciani. Her proudest achievement is beating breast cancer in 2021.
Dr. Jesse Cook has been hailed by Fanfare Magazine as a trumpeter with “technical surety, a shining tone, dynamic control, a smooth legato, and real imagination,” and by Grammy winning artists as “a virtuoso who can do it all.” While on sabbatical in the 2025–2026 academic year, he completed an Ergänzungsstudium diploma in Natural Trumpet at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel, Switzerland.
Dr. Cook is the Associate Professor of Trumpet at the University of Central Florida. He is the Principal Trumpet of the Atlantic Classical Orchestra and was the Visiting Principal Trumpet of the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra in 2023–2024. He is a regular sub with The Florida Orchestra and Sarasota Orchestra, and has also enjoyed performances with the Basel Symphony Orchestra, Houston Symphony Orchestra, the Kansas City Symphony, and the Jacksonville Symphony. He is a founding member of the internationally recognized Palisade Trumpet Collective, who will release their second album on Sony Classics and Masterworks Korea in late 2026. Dr. Cook is also an in-demand recitalist and clinician, and has performed for, judged, and instructed collegiate students across the United States and Europe since 2012. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family outdoors and remaining active, swimming, running, weightlifting, kayaking and biking.
Mr. Sigal currently serves as Concertmaster for both the Atlantic Classical Orchestra and the Hartford Symphony Orchestra. Previously, he held the position of Associate Concertmaster of the Florida Philharmonic and has performed with distinguished ensembles like the San Diego Symphony and the Boston Symphony. Since 2012, he has been a vital part of the Emmy Award-winning program The All-Star Orchestra, collaborating with principals from major American orchestras such as Philadelphia, Chicago, and Los Angeles. His extensive experience as a guest artist, concertmaster, and conductor has made him a respected and sought-after member of the orchestral community.
Kaitlin Seto is an accomplished violist based in the Tampa Bay area. She has held the Teaching Artist title with The Florida Orchestra since 2018, where she performs full time and shares her pedagogical expertise in local public school classrooms. Kaitlin is also Principal Violist of the Atlantic Classical Orchestra and Viola Professor at the University of Central Florida. Kaitlin’s teaching philosophy is to meet students where they are and to help bring them up to that next level of artistry through technique and focused practice. She has created a practice blog to help her students prepare for auditions and events.
Kaitlin’s extensive musical training includes studying under some of the most renowned viola instructors in the country, including Michelle LaCourse at Boston University, Rita Porfiris at Hartt School of Music, and Ralph Fielding at Lynn Conservatory. Through their guidance, Kaitlin has developed a strong foundation in music that has allowed her to continually grow and evolve as a musician.
