Vero Beach, FL January 15th – The Atlantic Classical Orchestra (ACO) recently concluded an exhilarating musical adventure with the opening performance of its 34th season, “The Wild West.” Against the picturesque backdrop of the American frontier, the concert transported audiences through iconic soundtracks from classic westerns, celebrating the rich tapestry of the American experience.
The opening performance of Masterworks I: The Wild West took place on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 7:30 pm at the Community Church of Vero Beach. Additional captivating shows occurred on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 4:00 pm & 8:00 pm at The Lyric Theatre of Stuart.
The evening featured a stellar lineup of compositions, including Rossini’s thunderous “William Tell Overture,” the picturesque “American Scenes” by Still, Copland’s foot-stomping “Four Dance Episodes from Rodeo,” and the iconic “Magnificent Seven” score by Elmer Bernstein. Concluding the night was the unforgettable “Cowboys” by John Williams.
Under the dynamic and talented direction of David Amado, the performance captivated audiences with evocative and vibrant scores from some of America’s finest home-grown composers.
As the final notes echoed through the auditorium, David Amado expressed excitement about the upcoming shows, stating, “The Wild West was just the beginning!
